Arrive East Austin Hotel / Baldridge Architects

The Arrive East Austin Hotel comprises eighty-three rooms and a multi-use podium housing two restaurants, three bars, a coffee shop, leasable street-side retail space, and parking. The owner/design team sought to question established anti-public hotel tropes — the grand entry… the “hotel” restaurant… the empty lobby. Instead, the team chose to minimize the hotel identity and create something that is not so much a hotel with supporting amenities beneath than a collection of public-oriented food and beverage establishments that happen to have hotel rooms above.

The Lumen Office Building / Ryder Architecture

This speculative office development was secured through an architectural competition win for Legal and General, which is leased, managed, and maintained by Newcastle City Council. The building, a 9,300sqm NIA with A1 / A3 use on the ground floor, has been designed so that each floor can be split into three tenant domains if required. It is designed to British Council for Office standards with a ratio of occupancy of one person per 8sqm NIA, and to BREEAM Excellent with an EPC rating of A.

House for a Family with Pets / Sadovsky & Architects

The property is located in a relatively dense housing zone in Bratislava, the so-called “Pod Slancom”. These circumstances subsequently affected the allocation of the house and its principal spatial concept. The house is situated in the center of the plot, whilst its perimeter walls are separated and expanding into the garden area, here, partially, reconnecting to the house again.

Apartment Sombrerería / BABELstudio

The interior renovation project for Sombrerería is located in one of the most emblematic streets of the Old Quarter of Bilbao. Due to its corner position, the interiors have the advantage of having large window openings that provide abundant light and views of the neighbourhood streets.
