Watch Dezeen and Haworth discuss how to create workplaces that foster innovation live from New York

Dezeen and Haworth host a panel discussion exploring the furniture brand’s latest research, which looks at how workplaces can be designed to encourage creativity and innovation. Tune in at 6pm EST to watch the talk live from New York.

The livestream has now ended, but you can still watch the talk in full above.

Dezeen editor Amy Frearson speaks to Beck Johnson and John Scott of Haworth, Annie Lee of Environetics and Robin Landa, professor in the Michael Graves College at Kean University, in the talk hosted at Haworth’s New York showroom.

The discussion explores Haworth’s recent white paper titled Optimizing the Workplace for Innovation: Using Brain Science for Smart Design, which looks at how workplaces can be designed to increase productivity.

Dezeen spoke to Johnson and Scott about the research in an article published on Dezeen earlier today, the latest in a series produced by Dezeen in collaboration with Haworth, based on the company’s white paper research documents.

By looking at how employees’ brains function, Haworth’s researchers concluded that companies need to provide different spaces to suit two very different types of workplace behaviour. One is the more concentrative mode of working, and the other includes more restful activities, which create opportunities for insight.
