Med Uni Campus Graz / Riegler Riewe Architekten

The concept for the Med Uni Campus Graz is based on the integration of work, teaching, and leisure spaces on a shared inner-city site. The project implements a clearly structured ensemble of coherent yet differentiated buildings, taking various requirements into account as far as possible. Openness, accessibility, and communication play important roles here. The campus is characterized by the clear placement of the volumes, which creates an exciting interplay between buildings and open spaces, between public and non-public uses, and thus a high potential for identification in the urban context.

81 Housing Units / Ramdam Architectes + palast

In the center of Nantes, the transformation of the former army barracks known as the Caserne Mellinet reflects contemporary urban challenges. Situated at the entrance of this neighborhood composed of six hamlets, the flats completed by Ramdam and Palast are part of the Chapus hamlet. This hamlet is the transitional urban feature linking the Saint-Donatien neighborhood and the heart of the barracks complex. Whilst respecting the intention of urban planners to create a coherent identity between the two areas, the project is first and foremost part of a powerful construction ambition of a wooden structure and mineral façades composed of plastered hempcrete.

Perched on a plateau nestled deep within the forest, this cabin serves as both a sanctuary for relaxation and a hub for gathering. The project is located in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge—a vast, wild territory in the Argenteuil region situated along the Ottawa River, midway between Montreal and Ottawa. Designed as a direct response to the landscape and the Nordic climate, the project prioritizes a compact, durable, and discreet form. Its pale grey wood cladding provides a sober materiality, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the forest throughout the changing seasons.

In Mexico City, buildings from the 1950s in the Vértiz-Narvarte neighborhood displayed a modern architectural style characterized by clean lines, bold geometry, and minimalist façades. Within this context, in 1956 a multifamily residential building for working-class residents was constructed, designed by architect and civil engineer Enrique Hernández Camarena.

“The landscape in Karen carries a quiet density, and the studio is conceived as something that settles lightly into that condition. The ambition was to create a space that holds both introspection and production, where material, light and structure move with a certain restraint. The building draws from archetypal African forms as a way of thinking about permanence, climate and memory. It is a place where making unfolds slowly, in dialogue with its environment.” David Adjaye

Xuanpu Pavilion (Hanging Fall Pavilion) Conceived to mark the 10th anniversary of Zhejiang University’s Zhoushan Campus and the 15th anniversary of its marine disciplines, this project was delivered by the campus’s original design team, initially commissioned to create a conventional commemorative sculpture. Reimagining the essence of “commemoration” for this serene, sea-cradled campus, the team redefined the brief: rather than an isolated visual focal point, they created an experiential, interactive “place” that holds a symbolic spiritual core, while accommodating daily rest, dialogue and contemplation for faculty and students.

Light House / Studioninedots

Made of stacked boxes, Light House reimagines the home as a vertical landscape of light and air. A couple with two children, long rooted in Amsterdam, approached us with a simple yet generous request: design a home defined by connection — between themselves and their children, while also interacting with the surrounding environment. From that single ambition, they entrusted us with an almost complete carte blanche.
