Fun as well as functional, it also forms a key element in a newly redeveloped port environment by providing public waterside space – and even a swimming pool.

Fostering a sense of family and accelerating decision-making through a robust workplace – This redevelopment plan for two buildings – the head office and main branch – spans two sites facing the town’s symbolic Hamamatsu Castle. It was brought to fruition by Shinkin Bank (credit union) with deep roots in this historic castle town.

This project involves the renovation of a single-floor office in Shibuya. Rather than an office organized around a specific, fixed function, the brief called for a place capable of accommodating multiple, unfixed modes of use, including employee welfare, receptions, and other forms of gathering.

Sanofi Offices in Tehran were entrusted to Persian Garden Studio in the interior design phase. This office space, with an area of 680 square meters, has been designed as a work, interaction, and meeting space with the idea of a hybrid space that emphasizes creating flexible and diverse workspaces.

This building is the new construction for our architectural office and woodworking shop. Why did we, an architectural firm, start a woodworking shop? In Okinawa, it has become common for many buildings to use reinforced concrete (RC) frames with aluminum sashes for commercial buildings. However, for many of our buildings, we have designed and installed wooden sashes for openings—elements people directly touch in daily life and which greatly affect the quality of the space—rather than bland aluminum sashes.

We planned the new head office for Uchida Shōten, a hardware manufacturer established 160 years ago in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The surrounding area flourished as Fujisawa-juku, the sixth post town along the Tōkaidō road during the Edo period, a town lined with inns, teahouses, and merchants. Traces of this history remain in places, and the site itself is characterised by its narrow, elongated townhouse-style plot.

The Helmholtz Pioneer Campus (HPC), a new laboratory and office building in Neuherberg on the outskirts of Munich, provides a state-of-the-art workplace tailored to the specific needs of international scientists. The researchers work for limited periods of five to seven years in so-called »pioneer groups«.
