Have you ever found yourself losing a good night’s sleep due to an overly warm room? Or wearing four jackets and a scarf just to tolerate your office’s frigid air conditioning? Truth be told, you can’t please everyone when it comes to adjusting an indoor climate, and there is always that one unfortunate individual who ends up sacrificing their own comfort for the sake of others.
The house is located in a social housing neighborhood from the early 1960´s. Originally conceived in prefabricated concrete panels and wooden trusses saddle roofs, the economic growth of this particular part of the city has generated continuous changes and improvements in the houses, being this specific construction one of the few still left in its original condition, without interventions of any kind.
Designed as a house for a retired couple who are passionate in growing foods, the plants filled Planter Box House appears less defined, as its appearance oscillates between garden, farm and house, anticipating for a redefinition of contemporary tropical house.
This work corresponds to the rehabilitation and expansion of a house built in 1970 in the commune of Las Condes, city of Santiago. It is part of a set of 25 one-story houses, designed by the architects Christian de Groote, Victor Gubbins and Hector Mery. All the houses are arranged in such a way that they adjoin each other, allowing a better use of the land, granting each one a garden to the north and another one to the south. The dividing walls, in turn, consolidate an intermediate walled yard.
The Thai well-known architecture firm Ayutt and Associates design (AAd) designs a latest modern vacation house at Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand in the gated-residential community. The site is surrounded by national forest and heritage mountain, Where the natural curtain of lush tropical trees surrounds the site, whilst its slightly slopping terrain offers an ideal location for the house itself. The owner bought this 6 standard plots of land which is almost 10,000sq.m. of site area. This gated community is nothing new, just like the standard community in Thailand. All the standard houses are designed in the same way by copy and paste with bad ventilation, bad taking view and similar look for all the house types. Thus, the owner asked AAd to design their dream vacation house instead of buying the standard house from the developer.
As the world population grows, designers look to develop the seas. Architecture and planning firm, URBAN POWER strategically designed nine man-made islands off the southern coast of Copenhagen to combat many of the city’s impending challenges. The islets, called Holmene, address demands for tech space, fossil-free energy production, flood barriers, and even public recreation space.

Wohnen ohne Auto (literally “Living without a car”) is a co-housing project, developed in a process of participatory design with a community of future residents. The project features a series of strategies which aim is to minimize the superfluous, to estabilish a collective attitude towards sharing and to facilitate in general a more sustainable behaviour.
Program
The French Croix-Rouge Health and Social Training Institute extends to a 3,500 m2 area.
▪ Spaces dedicated to students are gathered on the four first floors : 12 classrooms, 4 practical training rooms, 2 simulation rooms, a 250 seats amphitheater, a work and dining room, individual work spaces and a documentation centre. The technical facilities are situated under the amphitheater’s bleachers.
▪ The two upper floors accommodate the Institute’s employees, their offices, 2 meeting rooms and a convivial space complemented by a terrace.
The Project for the insurance company Youse headquarter, tried transmitting the values of this Startup, to the interior design architecture. Young, innovating and daring are some of the values that the trend carries and that it should be transmitted, in a project that reflect ways for a futuristic office. The plant of the project, prioritized the special flexibility and the multiple possibilities of rearrangement and work, having their own private rooms, shared rooms or collective desks. Throughout the space, it is found the squads, projected rooms to join temporary teams for special projects. These squads support up to 12 people in a semi open system, for the big spaces, but still designed to bring privacy to the teams.
