Watch our talk with Dulux Trade live from the RIBA in London

Dezeen has teamed up with Dulux Trade to host a breakfast conversation with architects Mark Dytham and Dara Huang on the theme of future-proofing design. Tune in from 9:30am UK time to watch it live.

The stream is now live. You can watch it here on Dezeen, or on our Facebook page.

Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs will speak to Dytham and Huang, as well as Dulux senior global colour designer Louise Tod, about how designers and architects can create enduring spaces for a fast-changing world.

Mark Dytham is the co-founder of Tokyo-based studio Klein Dytham Architecture, and has been awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for his services to British Design in Japan. Dara Huang is the founder of Design Haus Liberty, which was awarded three RIBA awards in its first three years as a practice. Louise Tod is a colour and design expert, who works as a member of the Dulux Aesthetics Centre to forecast design trends.

The speakers will discuss the kinds of changes that can take place over the lifetime of a building and will consider the ways in which architects are able to anticipate these changes and plan their designs to mitigate against their impact. In addition, the panel will consider the importance of colour when developing building concepts, and the role that colour plays in ensuring that a building still feels relevant many years into the future.

Dulux Trade, a branch of paint brand Dulux, offers colour and paint-related services for architects, interior designers and specifiers. This event marks the release of the 15th instalment of Dulux Colour Futures, an annual report which forecasts trends in colour and design.
